Pop-up Wednesday - 8/29

Well today is yet again a not so normal day. Hurricane Isaac gave us a few days of wind and rain. It's still lingering around a little bit. I have a few friends without power so hopefully they get it back soon cause it's hot! I have been scrapping away, but with the wind and rain there is no way for me to take good pics. But I can make an awesome announcement today!!!!!!

Up(lifting) Monday - 8/27

Well as many of you know there is a storm brewing and headed into the gulf by the name of Isaac. Considering I live within the path (which keeps changing), I have been getting ready for it all weekend. Making sure everything is tied down or put away that can blow around. Getting supplies in case the power goes out. Definitely filling up on gas (learned my lesson during Katrina). So it has been a crazy weekend. Scrapping help gets my mind off things while we play the waiting game.

So I was playing over at Colorful Creations yesterday. I love the Twisted Blueprints challenge every week. It's a sketch challenge with a small twist to it. So it makes a fun challenge on top of getting the inspiration. Sorry my pic is not that great. Had to take it inside up against my laptop cause of the weather. So here is the sketch....

Well today is a little different again. I have enjoyed playing over at Let's Get Sketchy for a while. They put out a weekly sketch challenge along with some examples from their DT. I absolutely love playing over there. I haven't won yet, but that still hasn't stopped me. Well guess what.......

Distress Friday - 8/10

This week I am combining my Sketch'n Tuesday with Distress Friday. I played along with Let's Get Sketchy this week. They had a really fun sketch. The DT had some great pages done with this sketch as well.

Pop-up Wednesday - 8/8

So as many of you know. I have recently become a Creative Memories Consultant. They have some pretty awesome tools along with great albums. They also have digital kits and traditional scrapbooking kits. I have recently been playing with the Cheerful Birthday Addition kit. I also did this page for a new challenge blog Bev showed me. The Paper Girls have challenged us to do a birthday theme. I used pics from Lizzie's 8th B-day.

Distress Friday - 8/3

One of my fav things is to distress papers in all sorts of ways. Well I made a card using some scraps a friend gave me. I also love challenges to help get my mojo flowing. My Scraps & More as daily challenges along with the occassional crop. Here is my card for one of their daily Scrap{card} challenge.

Technique Thursday - 8/2

So today's techique a simple, but a good one. I have several Shimmerz paints and rarely use them. I definitely need to use them more often cause they are fun to spruce up different embellies.

Use a paint brush and add it to your chipboard

Pop-up Wednesday - 8/1

Pop-up dots are one of my fav tools to use. They can help bring attention to certain parts of your page or card. Well I'm playing around again on the daily challenges with MSM. I love going back and doing old ones as well as the new ones. This is for a scraplift with keeping the square or file folder look challenge.
