It's been a while... 8/24

Summer is officially over in just a few short days. School started back a few weeks ago. Things have been a little crazy around here lately. I finally have some time to cool off and scrapbook. It's been so hot this summer. Makes me want to scrapbook all my winter photos. LOL.

Well I have switched teams over at LGS. I am now on Team B which means I will post on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. I will post some of my pages from the summer later in the week. Here is my layout from today along with a great sketch.

Feeding the Birds! - 6/15

It's time for another LGS Sketch!! This one kinda stumped me for a while. I couldn't wrap my mind around all the embellishments on this sketch. There was way to much going on for me. I finally just simplified it to my style.

Earthworm - 4/20

It's time for another sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!!! I used my new Hip Kit for this one. I ended up flipping the sketch to make it work for my page. I actually cut my paper on the wrong diagonal which is why I had to flip the sketch. Lol.

Skylift - 4/8

Sorry for the late post ladies. It is Spring Break here and I totally lost track of days. There is a new sketch up over at LGS! We also have some new team members joining us!!! Lots of great inspiration to look at!

I pulled out my February Hip Kit and had lots of fun playing with all the pretty papers. I also used a doily!! I rarely use them even though I scrap my girls all the time. I've never been one to make really girly pages.

Into the Garden - 3/16

It's time for another sketch from Let's Get Sketchy! I am loving this paper from my Hip Kit Club. It's September Skies by Heidi Swapp. I am definitely going to order the whole collection. The papers and accents are gorgeous! I actually played around with some guesso and stencils.

This was not an easy sketch for me. 

Took me a little out of my comfort zone, but I managed to pull it off. 

I used 2 pics and a die cut flower.

Yum, Yum! - 12/15

I haven't posted much in the last few months. I've been extremely busy with school stuff that there hasn't been much time for scrapbooking. I actually miss working on pages. I finally have some time and plan on making time as part of my New Year resolution. 

So there is a new sketch up at Let's Get Sketchy!!! This was done by one of my good friends Bev Code. I absolutely love her sketches especially the ones in color. They can be so versatile and easy to make into your own creation. I actually turned the sketch to make my page. I'm not one for banners so I decided to make my Title go across.

Baby Shower - 11/17

I'm at it again!!! I didn't post anything in October cause there wasn't much time for me to do anything. Between the girls playing softball and being PTA President, I found no time for scrapping. Fall ball is officially over so now I have time to scrap again!!!

I have been working on a baby album for a friend. She is so excited about it, but I haven't showed her any pages yet. She loves my scrapbooking so it will be fun to give it to her. Here is a page I did for her baby shower pics. It's actually a 2-pager. The lighting is a little bad. We've had some cold, windy weather and I had to take the pics inside.
