This is Love Inspiration - 9/13

Over at the Scrapping Turtle, I am doing today's Friday Inspiration. I have always loved Winnie the Pooh. There is always a lesson behind the stories along with wonderful quotes from him. This one definitely caught my eye.

Dream - 7/15

It's the 15th which means another fun challenge over at About A Girl!!! It took me a little while to get this one done. The sketch was easy, but the torn paper got me. I hit a brick wall for some reason... so I started looking around my scraproom for inspiration. I saw my Tim Holtz distress tool and knew it was perfect for this project! Technically it's tearing the edge of the paper when you run it across the edges. I found this really cute page kit at Hobby Lobby on clearance. I've been dying to use it!!!

The Challenge:
Use this sketch along with torn papers & flowers

Snowballs - 6/17

It's Monday again!!! Time for another LGS Sketch!!! This one is so much fun. I actually used a journal square instead of the 2 tiny pics. I was at a crop and didn't have the pics to put there so I improvised! lol. I enjoy going to crops because it definitely helps me to get my DT stuff done. Just wish there were more around here.

A few months ago, I discovered that one of my fellow LGS DT members just so happens to live about 30 min from me!!! She invited me over to her monthly crop. It was so great to meet her and the ladies there. I even got to see how her Cameo worked. She cut these too cute clouds for me! I also made myself use one of my SC kits as well. Definitely a challenge for me. Be sure to check out Ashley's blog as well!!

Sister - 5/23

So my birthday is this week and I want to celebrate with my beautiful girls! They always have fun trying to figure out what to do for me without me knowing even though I'm the one that has to pay for it or drive them. LOL! They are very sweet and thoughtful. I'm not quite sure what they have up their sleeves this year, but we will see what happens. I love looking thru old pics to see how far my life has come over the years. It's been a long, bumpy road, but in the end it is all worth it to watch my little girls grow up into ladies!

I found a fun challenge over at ACOT and decided to take it on. TAKE 2 is a fun challenge. You have several options. The challenge is to use either Siblings or Rub-ons, but you also have the option to do both. Hence the name Take 2! I chose to do just the siblings since I don't have many rub-ons. I also pulled out an old Nuts About Sketches sketch #156.

Beachy Easter - 4/29

My Scraps & More always has daily challenges every month. They are tons of fun especially if you need a little inspiration or motivation. I decided to do some fun scrapping before getting to work on my DT stuff. On Mondays they host a scrap{lift} challenge. This one is from April 8th. I had fun using Michelle's page to lift. Made me use some white space and I also finally used my SC Mask!

Carefree - 4/15

It's time again for another awesome sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!!! This one was a little challenging for me with the blocks and circles. I started out with 3 pics that I really wanted to use. The next part was trying to figure out how to incorporate them into the sketch. I had a hard time with the circles, but eventually settled on only one of them. I still kept part of the sketch, but ended up making it my own.

Close-ups:
There was dots here, but I didn't like them.
So I covered them with twine. Love how it turned out!
Also added distress stickles to the butterflies.

Cut a tag to put on top of blue.
Used black cardstock to mat photo.

Come join in the fun with us!!!

Scrapbook Steals Blog Hop - 4/5

Welcome to the Scrapbook Steals Blog Hop!!! If you came here from Michelle Philippi .... then you have arrived at the right place. If happen to just fall upon find my blog.... then you should start at the beginning here

Scrapbook Steals is hosting a blog hop today to show off the wonderful Studio Calico Wood Veneer Pieces. There are so many to choose from! The inspiration from the other ladies on the hop is awesome!

I thought I was lucky enough to be receiving the butterflies. I have 2 girls and tons of pics so how hard can it be. Well it was actually really tough to decide which pictures I wanted to use. Then it was even harder deciding on which size to use. There were 20 butterflies of 5 different sizes in the package. Well as many of my followers know.... I am a huge fan of alcohol inks!!! So how much fun would it be to make them different colors to add life to my page! Well that's exactly what I did!

Well I had quite a few left over so I decided to add them to another page I was working on. This time I left 1 natural and painted the other 3 with TH Distress Crackle paint. So there are many ways that these can be used to fit your project.

My Page:

Close-ups:
2 different inks used. Espresso & Latte
Pearl bling from $1 bin at Michael's

Eggplant, Lettuce, Stonewashed, Latte
Splattered Smooch Spritz on the background

TH Distress crackle paint picket fence
Antique Linen distress ink rubbed on top

Vintage Photo crackle paint
Natural larger butterfly

I hope that y'all will enjoy these awesome Wood Veneer Butterflies as much as I do!

Now head on over to Paper Memories by Brenshevia to see how she used her Wood Veneer pieces!

Friendly Pelican - 3/22

I am still playing along with the Birthday Sketch-A-Thon. Sketches are fun to help inspire you. Sometimes they help get the mojo moving and sometimes you end doing a page that doesn't look much like the sketch. I've been known to do that too. Well this one resembles the sketch a little. I added more to it since I'm not a fan of alot of "white" space on my pages.

This is an awesome sketch by my friend Lisa! Her twist was to use 2 tickets on anywhere on the page. Well this pelican didn't mind me getting up close to it. It was quite funny to be able to get up close to one and it not fly away.

The Sketch:

The Birthday Sketch-A-Thon is still going on over at My Scraps & More!!! So far there are 21 awesome sketches to play along with!!! I am still a little behind! I've only managed to complete 5 of them. I'm hoping to get more done this weekend. Don't you just hate it when you run out of something when you're on a roll? Well that was me last night! I ran out of photo paper last night! Can't believe it!

Well this is a fun set of pics that I used to play along with Sketch #5 at MSM! Bev took a pic of Lilybug taking our pic. I also used that Lilybug actually took. The only twist to the sketch was to use 2 pics which is exactly what I did.
