Beachy Easter - 4/29

My Scraps & More always has daily challenges every month. They are tons of fun especially if you need a little inspiration or motivation. I decided to do some fun scrapping before getting to work on my DT stuff. On Mondays they host a scrap{lift} challenge. This one is from April 8th. I had fun using Michelle's page to lift. Made me use some white space and I also finally used my SC Mask!

Added the year into the sun sticker.

Cut a border "Sunshine makes me happy" in half so the whole saying shows.

Ocean's Alive - 4/23

So the very first challenge is up over at About A Girl!!!!! It's a fun sketch challenge!!! I love playing with sketches for inspiration. You can make them into anything you want. You can pull parts of it or even make your page the exact same. It's totally up to you. That is what makes them so much fun! Well This first sketch was a great one! I ended up using most of the stuff, but I'm one that still can't seem to get into the whole banner thing. There is just something about them I don't like. I have tried to use them and they turn out great.

Exciting news!!! - 4/16

I can finally reveal some exciting news! I posted a few days ago about a new challenge blog... well I decided to apply for the DT over there.......



AND...........







I MADE THE DESIGN TEAM!!!!! I was doing my happy dance all over the house!

Carefree - 4/15

It's time again for another awesome sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!!! This one was a little challenging for me with the blocks and circles. I started out with 3 pics that I really wanted to use. The next part was trying to figure out how to incorporate them into the sketch. I had a hard time with the circles, but eventually settled on only one of them. I still kept part of the sketch, but ended up making it my own.

There was dots here, but I didn't like them. 

So I covered them with twine. Love how it turned out!

Also added distress stickles to the butterflies.

Cut a tag to put on top of blue. 

Used black cardstock to mat photo.

Sweet Treats - 4/10

Yesterday I was playing around with some papers... I decided to play along with Stuck?! sketches. They definitely can help you get out of a slump. I enjoy their sketches even after the challenges are over. This is the sketch from April 1st so there is still time left to enter. 

I enjoy the little things with the girls. There is a Krispy Kreme donuts around the corner from our house. I enjoy their hot donuts, but prefer Dunkin' Donuts myself. Since we don't have one around here.... I have to just deal with KK for now. lol. The girls and I had a fun breakfast one morning. We saw the "hot" sign on and decided to stop in. I took this pic on my phone so it's a little grainy but still turned out to be a good one.

Scrapbook Steals Blog Hop - 4/5

Scrapbook Steals is hosting a blog hop today to show off the wonderful Studio Calico Wood Veneer Pieces. There are so many to choose from! The inspiration from the other ladies on the hop is awesome!

I thought I was lucky enough to be receiving the butterflies. I have 2 girls and tons of pics so how hard can it be. Well it was actually really tough to decide which pictures I wanted to use. Then it was even harder deciding on which size to use. There were 20 butterflies of 5 different sizes in the package. Well as many of my followers know.... I am a huge fan of alcohol inks!!! So how much fun would it be to make them different colors to add life to my page! Well that's exactly what I did!

Well I had quite a few left over so I decided to add them to another page I was working on. This time I left 1 natural and painted the other 3 with TH Distress Crackle paint. So there are many ways that these can be used to fit your project.

IT'S ANOTHER WEEK AT LET'S GET SKETCHY!!!!!
So a few summers ago, we took Lilybug to Eastern Shore where there is a water area in the mall. It's kinda like an outlet mall, but they aren't really outlet stores. There is a huge Michael's, Ross, and Tuesday Morning over there! But there is this very "cool" area in the center of the whole Centre. It has these water spouts all over. Kids have so much fun playing in this part and it's a great place for parents to relax after shopping and eating.
