New Fav - 7/25

I got my new Paper Bakery July kit in the mail the other day and absolutely loved everything that was in my box!!! I got my Elle's Studio July kit just a week before that. I was waiting on both so that I could scrap the pics of Lilybug. I took a bunch of cute pic of her at the park for her birthday. She is getting so big too quick! I already started scrapping these awesome pics! Here is my fav pic of her! She is definitely still my Missy Prissy!

I used the sketch from My Creative Sketches for this page as well. I flipped the inside square around and used hexagons instead of big squares. I also used twine since I'm not a huge fan of flower globs. 

Close-ups:

Crate Paper The Pier umbrella paper. I cut the umbrellas out and tucked under the corners instead of using the big squares from the sketch.

3 vellum The Pier flags. I used these instead of the hearts in the corner of the page.

Added a sequin to the front wheel. 

Elle's Studio tag on the back wheel.

I was checking my comments on my blog and came across a fun new challenge site! They are also having a DT Call going on as well.

A new Challenge blog for Scrapbookers.

Challenges will be posted the 10th of each month.

We will be posting our very first challenge on August 10th. We will only have one challenge per month, giving you more time to create!

Our challenges will be a "tic tac toe" type board with 3 rows down and across. Each space will have a different crafty product/technique/idea. You must use 3 in a row either down, across or diagonal.

You will be able to enter each month's challenge up to 3 times and can combine as many other challenges (from other challenge blogs) as you'd like. For more information please click on the tab above.

Sand Castle - 7/15

It's Monday again! I love this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy this week! I have been dying to scrap these pics of my lilybug. When I saw this sketch, I knew it would be perfect for these pics. I had so much fun playing with EP Hello Summer collection. The Maple Thickers have started to become one of my favs. I just wish it had more than 3 colors...

Dream - 7/15

It's the 15th which means another fun challenge over at About A Girl!!! It took me a little while to get this one done. The sketch was easy, but the torn paper got me. I hit a brick wall for some reason... so I started looking around my scraproom for inspiration. I saw my Tim Holtz distress tool and knew it was perfect for this project! Technically it's tearing the edge of the paper when you run it across the edges. I found this really cute page kit at Hobby Lobby on clearance. I've been dying to use it!!!

Summer - 7/2

So yesterday was an awesome reveal for a new DT!!! I am proud to be a part of this new DT! The forum has been resurrected and improved! This is going to be a fun term with lots of games, crops, daily challenges, and so much more. The store front is the Scrapping Turtle in Ontario, Canada. Along with a blog and online store.

I was able to work with this great sketch by Bev for our first challenge and reveal. I was alot of fun using this one. I used Pebbles Walnut Grove paper pack along with some Thickers.

I also used the Hexagon punch here. 

I used the scraps from my hexagons and punched part of the way to make the arrows.

2-n-1 post today - 7/1

So today is Monday and it's also the 1st! So I have 2 special pages for y'all today. I think this is one of the longest posts I have ever done, but I don't want either one of these to get lost or left out.

I love scrapping pics of the girls when they were babies. Baby pics are so much fun! Lilybug had the cutest little belly. I was so excited when her belly button finally fell off cause then I could actually give her a real bath.

My other page is fun pelican one. During our visit to Florida, we were launching the boat and all these pelicans were sitting along the dock. I guess they were hoping that the fishermen would give them some treats as they were loading their boats up.
