Reindeer Food - 12/31

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We have lots of traditions that the girls enjoy.  In my family, the Christmas season still goes on until Jan. 6 which is 3 Kings Day. The actual Christmas season doesn't begin until Christmas day with the birth of Christ. Well there are 12 days of Christmas after that which most churches call Epiphany. And no we aren't Catholic! Lol. Well enough about the Christmas technicals......

We had a wonderful Christmas here. The girls got everything they wanted with a few surprises especially Lizzie (who claims not to believe anymore). That's for another scrapbook page.... The girls got me an awesome photo printer for Christmas!! So I have been editing Christmas pics and printing them without having to leave the house!! Well one of our most favorite traditions is laying reindeer food out to help Santa's reindeer find our house. This year the girls went outside and tossed it all over the yard. They had a ball, but my camera was not enjoying all the motion going on. Lol.

Slide!

I love being able to have a photo printer at home. It makes it so much easier to print pics as I want/need them. I can create pages as I'm inspired instead of printing a whole bunch and not using all of them. I have been working on a few old pics lately. I love using sketches to help get my mojo flowing. Here is one from Creative Scrappers.....

ABC's of K-5

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope that everyone had a great feast yesterday! I was able to spend it with my family. The girls had a blast playing with my nephew. They rode bikes and played in the yard until it was time to eat. We had so much good southern home cooked food! The best part is the homemade pecan pie with cool whip on top!

I've been sitting her remembering when my girls were little that we didn't do much for Thanksgiving cause they wouldn't enjoy it as much as they now. Over the last few years it has become more and more fun for them. Especially this year because it was so warm outside that they got to run and play without all the jackets. I have been scrapping some old pics of them and they are getting so big too quick :( Here is last week's LGS sketch, but I just love this one! Simple yet versatile.

My take:
Materials:
Crate Paper School Spirit paper
Momenta alphas
TH emboss powder vintage photo

Hope y'all enjoy your feast and leftovers!

A Sketchy Lift - 10/29

Well since there are 5 Mondays this month..... Let's Get Sketchy has decided to do a scraplift! Yep that's right! Your job is to scraplift any one of the DT's fabulous pages! While our job as the DT was to scraplift a page from a previous LGS sketch. I was suppose to scraplift one from Kerys over at Scrappin'n'Happy, but as I soon found out... I ended up lifting one of She-She's pages. lol. Well here is the page and sketch that I thought was Kerys, but is Brenshevia's page instead.

Here is her page:

Isn't this such a gorgeous page!!!!

My Lift:
Materials:
MME Mischevious paper
Cricut October 31st
Old book page
UmWowStudios Sept kit

Close-ups:
My ribbon and cute Pumpkin Patch die cut. I know the words on the page are upside down! lol.
I cut this on my Cricut using the October 31st cart, then backed it with orange cardstock.

This was also cut using the same Cricut Cart.
I ran it thru my 2.5 Xyron so much easier than trying to glue it down.
Then outlined it with an AC fine tip black marker.

Super Model - 10/24

I love using sketches or any type of inspiration for my scrapbook pages. This time I played over at Creative Scrappers which I haven't done in a while. They have some awesome sketches and prizes if you've never played along over there. So I used their sketch #228 for some fabulous pics of my Lilybug. She reminds me of the life guards on the old TV show Bay Watch.

Marvelous Monday - 9/24

It's that time again! Another Let's Get Sketchy Sketch has hit the web!!! I absolutely love this one! It was not my week to create a page, but I couldn't resist this one. It is so versatile. I am still working on some beach pics of the girls. It is definitely hard to narrow down all those pics to just 2 pages. I always do several pages of the beach. I love the colors of this page too!

Totally Thursday - 9/13

Well I have been away for a few weeks. I have been working on cleaning and purging my scrappy space so I haven't had much time to get online. With all the purging, my laptop has managed to get buried under all that stuff. So I have kicked off the dust to bring you an awesome sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!!! This is not my week to display my art, but I would love for all y'all to go play along and look at all the wonderful work from the other half of the DT. These ladies did a wonderful job with this awesome sketch.

Hope y'all come play along with us!!!

Viva Las VegaStamps DT Tryout!!!!!!

So I am interrupting the normal flow of things here...... to bring you....... this awesome company...... called Viva Las VegaStamps! Did you know they make over 15,000 stamps!!!! They even have embossing powder and stamp pads! I have recently discovered this company through one of my great scrappy friends DeeDee. I also love her monthly kits, but that's another topic. Well I love using stamps especially if it involves embossing!! Well here are a few of my projects using stamps. Hope y'all enjoy the interruption.....

ATC:
My fav of them all! I used 2 or 3 shades of green TH distress ink on some TH resist craft paper.
I stamped and heat embossed the flourish. Added 2 different alcohol inks to my Prima flower.
Painted gold Smooch on the flower.

Cards:
I love this Valentine card! I used 3 different heart stamps with 3 different color embossing powders.
I also stamped the owl and sentiment with TH distress powder.

This was a card for my Lilybug's b-day. It's simple, but yet I love it.
I used my Nests then stamped Cinderella and Happy B-day with Staz-on black.

Layouts:
I stamped the MME butterflies using TH distress ink then fussy cut them using my TH scissors.
I also stamped and heat embossed a flower in pale yellow.

I used tone on tone stamping for the background here. I used BG Oliver Stamps with some TH distress ink to create a background that wasn't just plain cardstock.

Hope y'all enjoy this interruption with my stamping techniques!!!

And check out that awesome stamp site!!!

Pop-up Wednesday - 8/29

I have a few friends without power so hopefully they get it back soon cause it's hot! I have been scrapping away, but with the wind and rain there is no way for me to take good pics. But I can make an awesome announcement today!!!!!!

Announcement time!!!!!!!!

Up(lifting) Monday - 8/27

Well as many of you know there is a storm brewing and headed into the gulf by the name of Isaac. Considering I live within the path (which keeps changing), I have been getting ready for it all weekend. Making sure everything is tied down or put away that can blow around. Getting supplies in case the power goes out. Definitely filling up on gas (learned my lesson during Katrina). So it has been a crazy weekend. Scrapping help gets my mind off things while we play the waiting game.

So I was playing over at Colorful Creations yesterday. I love the Twisted Blueprints challenge every week. It's a sketch challenge with a small twist to it. So it makes a fun challenge on top of getting the inspiration. Sorry my pic is not that great. Had to take it inside up against my laptop cause of the weather. So here is the sketch....
