McKee Garden - 2/21

Monday was scrap lift day over at My Scraps & More. The page Tammi had picked out, I had already done. It was part of a kit that I got at an MME crop last summer. So I decided to do it again. This is a great page though so I decided to use it again to play along with the challenge. I also used the recipe challenge from Bev for this page as well.
Cardstock
3 pattern papers
3 different shapes
2 clusters
doodling

Lily and I saw this gorgeous glass turtle outside of the McKee Botanical Garden. I couldn't resist taking a pic with it! I love turtles!

Here is the lift page:

I tried something different! I used my white gel pen to doodle on these Prima flowers.
I love the effect it gave the flowers.

Made the rosette from burlap ribbon.
Butterfly stamp I fussy cut and wrapped twine around.

Originally a doodle, but didn't like it.
added twine overlapping to cover doodle.
Looks so much better!

Hope y'all are inspired!!!

Blow Bubbles - 2/20

I played along for a little bit over at My Scraps & More Love is in the Air Crop. I was only able to get 2 challenges done, but still enjoyed scrapping again. It's been a while since I actually scrapped for fun. I kinda lost my mojo for a few months. I am back and ready to scrap! I used the sketch from the pre-crop challenge. It was an interesting one.

I used the pics from Bev and Lily swimming in the pool. Bev was teaching Lily how to blow in the water. It was so cute watching her. While we were visiting, Bev gave me a Kreaxions punch. I only had one, so this now makes 2! My collection is building! lol.

Our Bowling Idol! - 2/19

It's another week at Let's Get Sketchy!!! Which means it's time for another awesome sketch! I enjoyed playing with this one, but I couldn't wrap my head around parts of it. I know my page needs something else, but not sure what I want to do with it.

So back in Sept, we drove over to Florida for the Pro-Am event. Lizzie got to bowl with 6 different PBA bowlers! It was a great event. We also got to meet my favorite pro bowler.... Walter Ray Williams, Jr! I have been watching him for years. The girls had so much fun watching these guys bowl. The pros were having fun with the kids too.

Hope y'all come play along with us!!!

Pool Fun - 2/16

This past weekend was so much fun! We went on vacation to visit friends and family during Mardi Gras break. I couldn't wait to start scrapping all the awesome pics we took while down there. My Scraps and More was hosting a Love is in the Air Crop while I was away, but the deadline isn't until tomorrow! Which still leaves me time to play along with some of the challenges. I'm hoping to get most of them done this weekend. My friend Lisa hosted one of the challenges "A box of Chocolates." The challenge was to use a heart and brown paint/ink. This was a fun task and I could use any pic!

I ended up using some of my new Distress Crackle paint on a stamp for the background. Turned out kinda neat, but was a pain to get off my rubber stamp. lol. I also misted my chipboard heart with brown smooch spritz.

My Page:
Materials:
Authentique Loyal papers

Dew drops
Trendy Twine
Distress crackle paint

Lazy Day - 2/14

Happy Valentine's Day y'all!!!!! I hope that everyone has an enjoyable day with your loved ones (furry or not). Well I've been working on some pages since got back from vacation. We went to see a good friend and my uncle during the break. The girls definitely enjoyed all the water (beach & pool) in sunny south Florida! We ended up coming home to a dreary rainy last few days. Hopefully it will clear up soon so we can enjoy the sunny weather again! Since we enjoyed the beach so much, I've been working on beachy pages. Here is one from last spring break along with the Let's Get Sketchy sketch for this week! It's not my week for the DT, but I still wanted to play along with this great sketch!

Beach Bound - 2/6

It's new month! Which means a new chance to win the fabulous prize over at Let's Get Sketchy! There are 4 challenges which means 4 chances to win the drawing! This weeks sketch is an awesome one! I had a lot of fun working with this one.... not to mention the messy hands and table I ended up with! I don't mind my table being messy at all...It gives it character! It has stickles, mist, alcohol inks, chalk, distress ink, and no telling what else is stained on it. But it's mine! Do any of y'all add character to your scrappy desks?

The Sketch:

The girls love going to the parades every night and weekend for 2 weeks. It will soon be coming to an end this weekend :( Well to help get me back into the flow of things... I decided to take on what I thought was an easy challenge. I was playing over at Paper Secrets and loved the sketch they had up from PageMaps. The twist is to use chevrons on your page.
