Together A Ever!

I have been working my 2011 album. My goal is to finish it by the end of July. I have several years of scrapping to get caught up on. Well here is a 2 page layout I did of my daddy. I got the inspiration from my June Scrapbook Trends book.

This one was for the N...number challenge for the ABC Crop at MSW.

Here is my number mixed in with my flowers and embellishments

Sleeping Angels

Well it's summertime!!! Which means MSW is having their ABC Crop this month. Also My Scraps & More is having their Got Talent Crop as well. There are lots of fun challenges on both to help inspire you in many ways. We just got back in town from a mini vacation so I wanted to just relax. I took the sketch from MSM challenge along with the Bingo Card added the F for Frog (green) challenge from MSW and came up with this.......

Supplies:
MME Indie Chic
Prima Flower
Apartment Thickers

Here is the wonderful sketch from MSM. I changed it a bit cause I am still not a fan of banners.

I hope y'all decide to play along as well. These are both great sites for inspiration!

MSW Blog Hop!!!

Back to MSW Blog http://www.mysketchworld.com

Hello my name is Stacey. I am so excited to part of the team as part of Inspiration Team on Facebook.
I have been scrapping since 2008. I got hooked after a visit to the zoo. I have 2 beautiful girls who are just as crafty as I am. They love to sit down and scrapbook with me any chance they get. I love to use Stickles and Thickers on just about everything I do!

Here is the April 15th sketch from My Sketch World (link: http://www.mysketchworld.com )

Here is my example using the sketch:

Thanks for being here and now its time to head to Lucy's blog and check out her creation

Pop-up Wednesday - 3/7

I love pop-ups! They are so much fun to help accent your page. I love playing over at MSW with all those wonderful ladies. There is an awesome contest going on this month from our sponsor My Scraps and More. So the challenge is to use this sketch from our wonderful Lucy.

But on top of using this sketch you have to pick from 1 of the 3 color swatches, use a quote, and implement that quote in your title and journaling. So I used my quote from the Bible Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Pop-ups can also be used on chipboard and other pieces of your layout. I placed to small squares under the chipboard bee to help maintain the flow.

But they can also be used to help emphasis your photo as well. I placed pop-ups under the photo between the mat. I learned this trick from a tablemate at a crop.

So here is the final outcome:
Materials:
BB Sun Kissed papers
Recollections flowers
EK border punch

Di-stress Friday - 3/2

There are many different ways to distress on your pages and cards. Well here is a way to make your backgrounds a little more useful. So when I was making this page I realized the white shimmering paper did not go with the design. So I decided to change it up.

Take an Inkssentials blending foam tool and press the end of it into the stamp pad. Then in a circular motion add it to the paper.

I used it on the entire page, but it is totally up to you how much you want to cover. Or you could even do multiple colors. It is completely up to you.

You can also ink the edges of your papers to help keep this effect throughout the page. As seen on the building paper. I used Powder Puff Green Tea and a finger sponge dauber.

Here is my completed page using another MSW sketch:

Materials:
SWR District papers
BG Doily paper
Prima butterflies
Amy Tangerine Thickers
TH Tea Dye Distress ink
PowderPuff Green Tea chalk

Die Cut Wednesday - 2/22

So today I want to show y'all die cuts! There are so many different tools out there now to use to make die cuts or you can still go the old fashion way and buy them. I occasionally buy them with different paper collections, but lately I have been using my Cricut Expression or my Grand Calibur. Well I used another of Lucy's sketch for my Layout.

So with this sketch I used my Soccer Cricut Cart which was a lot of fun.

Materials:
Soccer Cricut Cart
Artsy.licious black paper
Thickers Sparkle number
Fiskars Paper crimper

Here are some Close-ups:
Here is a close-up of the die cut frame I cut using my Cricut then I added a 2 for her player number.

Here is the layered soccerball and grass border that was also cut on my Cricut.
I ran the grass border thru my paper crimper to give a little more grass feel.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy using those die cuts!

Di-stress Friday

We are getting ready for the weekend. I know I enjoy relaxing and having stress-free weekends. So with that in mind let's talk about distressing when it comes to crafting. There are many different ways and things to use when distressing a project. Today I want to share with you a card that I made using one of Lucy's MSW Sketch-A-Thon sketches.

Here is my card:
Materials:
FP Love Story paper
Prima flower
Spellbinder Circle Hearts
Distress stickles
TH Distress emboss powder

So here is what I did:
I cut the circle out using my Grand Calibur and the Heart Circles die cut. Then I used a sponge dabber to add Pink powderpuff chalk along the edges.

I also used the sponge dabber to add color to my white Prima flower. Then I outlined the flower with Spun Sugar Distress stickles. The glitter is more of a dull than a shimmer.

I also stamped Happy Birthday and embossed using TH Distress Black Soot embossing powder. When heated it gives a dull look.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy distressing this weekend!
