Lizzie's wish list.....

Well today is the last day to get your LO/cards in for {SAS}sy University. I had all of them done except the very first one which was journaling of course. I journal some, but it was hard to come up with the perfect LO for the different techniques we were taught. So with it being Christmas time, my lightbulb went off. I can make a LO using the girls Christmas lists.

So I had Elisabeth write out her Christmas list and I cut it into strips. Well I wanted to make it look like one of Santa's scrolls. So I took some white cardstock and rolled up the ends. I attached some alcohol dyed dew drops as points in the list.

I didn't think it was quite done so I added some Prima Mistletoe/holly. So here is my finished product! I am very proud how I made this turn out!

So here are a few
Close-Ups

Thanks for looking! Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do!!!

Doodling Homework!

So for {SAS}sy University class #3, we were introduced to doodling. Lauri describes doodling as "a type of sketch, an unfocused drawing made while a person’s attention is otherwise occupied. Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be abstract shapes." Lauri goes on to describe how your pens and papers can make a difference. So go sign-up for the {SAS}sy board and check it out along with all the other great challenges and topics going on over there.

So our homework was to make at least 6 doodle squares. Well I'm an overachiever and made 9 instead. lol.
I also misted them to help match the LO.

Well I ended up using 8 of them to make a tea bag flower. I also added a flower button to help add a little more to my already interesting flower.

I tucked the last square behind the photo. I was going to fussy cut part of it and use it for the center of my flower, but decided against it. I like how it came out and didn't want to ruin all the hard work. lol.

So with all these little peaks I bet y'all are ready to see what the whole LO looks like! well I used Crate Paper Brooks line. I used some dyed Dew Drops along the LO too.

Thanks for looking! Hope y'all enjoyed the mini lesson! Find more at {SAS}sy!!!

My homework is done!!!

So {SAS}sy has started their University back up!!! So I am kinda working out of order, but this is still fun learning new stuff! So for Challenge #2 the task is masking. I have learned quite a bit about this that I didn't know. I really need to hunt down some resist ink and try it out!!! I just have to figure out where to get it from. So without further ado.....Here is my finished product.
Sassy October kit!

Here are a few close-ups:
