NSD Blocking Challenge

So for this challenge we were to use the blocking or grid technique. I had seen this being used alot but never tried it myself. It was rather hard for me to do, but I managed it. This was my first attempt at blocking. So here is my attempt.

NSD Button Challenge

So I played along over MSW during their online NSD crop.  So one of their challenges was to use buttons in a LO by altering them in some way. So I used them as berries on a tree. Well here is my LO.

NSD FUN!

So this weekend we celebrated NSD (National Scrapbook Day). I had an all day crop Saturday with my CM rep and my scrappy girlfriends! We have been scrapping together for 2 years now! We all met at our first crop which was on NSD of 2009. It seems like forever. Well we all had a blast!! Also over at My Sketch World, they had an online crop. So over the next few days I will post the pics of my pages. I had fun playing at both crops. So here is one of my favs!!! This was one of the last ones I did during our 12 hour crop. I was kinda brain dead by this point and it turned out great!

The challenge was to........

Since our Crop begins on Mother's Day weekend, you need to create a layout about motherhood. It can be about You, your Mom, MIL, Grandmother, etc, but it should have something to do with being a mom, mother figure or motherhood in general.

So I am starting to get back into the groove of the scrapping world again! I have decided to start back by doing the April 1st sketch over at My Sketch World! This was alot of fun especially since I got to use my new FP Beach Babe stuff!!!! It was alot of fun and great papers to work with.

Another Baby Album Complete

So a friend of mine's daughter was having a baby boy. I decided to make her a baby album just like I did for my Godson. I had a lot of fun making that album so I figured why not try it again! I actually got this one done in about a week. I used sketches from SASsy for all of these pages! I did 9 pages this weekend alone! I have been a busy bee! I think it turned out so cute. I used Imaginisce Wild Things paper and ribbon, Bazzill cardstock, stamps, Zing powders, colorbox chalks, a few flowers.

Baby album updates!!!

So as many of you know.... my Godson arrived on December 1st. I was not able to go up to see the delivery due my own family issues. After my father passed away, Lala and Caden flew home to see us. I was able to give her the beautiful album I had made for her. This was my first attempt at a blank album let alone a boy album. With having 2 girls it was really hard to not make it girly. I found the best paper. CTMH You Rock collection which is now retired. Well yesterday she finally posted some pics of the album with actual baby pics in them! I am so excited and wanted to show y'all the final result. I made space for a 4x6 on each page and she added several other pics to it. It has really turned out darling. Now I wish I had made one for myself too......

Hot Lily!!

Well for challenge #5, we were to use something we DON'T like. Well I purchased the Crate Paper Pink Plum collection along with about 5 other sets of Crate Paper. It was offered as a bundle and so much cheaper than purchasing separately plus I got 2 free gifts!! So I figured I could give it away or find a way to use it. It has some calmer pieces in it also. I just don't like the combo of the pink and orange.

So I misted the orange background paper with Smooch Spritz Log Cabin. I had to tone it down some. Those colors are just too much for me. Then I took the white pp and used a Tim Holtz Crown mask and some Smooch Spritz Gold Glow. Here is my results:
