Merry Christmas! - 12/26

So yesterday was a crazy day for us and probably for many of y'all. We visit with most of the family before Lizzie goes off to her dad's. She had a blast playing with her new compound bow! Oh and my Lilybug thoroughly enjoys her new Sofia the First stuff! I found out that I am getting a Cameo for Christmas! Can't wait till it gets here!

So for the fun part.... LGS has done it again!!! There is a beautiful Christmas Edition e-mag out!!! There is tons of Christmas inspiration in there to use for this year's pics along with projects for next year as well. I am featured on page 24 using some of my new Trendy Twine Christmas colors!

Come see the new edition!!

No Snow Day - 12/20

This weekend is our monthly mini crop over at the Turtle! Since it doesn't snow down here, I have a fun challenge for all the "Snow birds." We get nasty slush if and when it gets cold enough which isn't often.

My challenge is to NOT use snow of any kind on your project. No flakes, no fluffy white stuff, none of it in the pictures or papers or embellies.

Now serving...breakfast - 12/16

It's a new week at Let's Get Sketchy!!!! I love this sketch that Bev did! It's really easy and simple. Perfect for making it into your own page. I used my Paper Bakery and Elle's Studio kits for this page. I had fun using the transparent alphas from American Crafts.

Sharing the Magic - 12/10

Well it's day 10 of the 12 days of Christmas over at the Turtle. We are celebrating with tags, cards, ATCs, and more! Well today is my reveal and I have a card for y'all. I do more scrapbooking than anything, but occasionally I will make a card or 2. I made this card for a friend and filled it with scrappy goodies.

My challenge at the Turtle is to use heat embossing on a stamped greeting. I chose to use a holiday neutral since we all have friends that may not celebrate Christmas.

Piles of Smiles - 11/25

We love going to the pumpkin patch every year! It's one of my favorite things to do in the fall. Girls enjoy picking out pumpkins. The fun part is finding the perfect one to carve into our jack-o-lantern. They come in all sorts of size and shapes. We usually try to find a pretty good round one, but that sometimes isn't always the case. We ended up going late this year so there wasn't many to choose from, but we managed to find the perfect one.

I love playing along with other sites when I get free time. I love most of the sketches over at Nuts about Sketches. I try to use them in my free time so they don't always make it to my blog. This one in particular caught my eye. I know I will definitely use it again. I also love how she puts things in perspective by telling you what size things are.

Pumpkin Patch - 11/18

It's Monday! Another sketch is up over at LGS! I don't know about this one, but the team did an awesome job with it! I wasn't able to get mine up on the blog in time, but I was able to play along. I was sick all last week so no scrapping got done. I am feeling a little better today and was able to play along.

The girls love going to the pumpkin patch every year for Halloween. They have so much fun looking at all the funky shaped pumpkins. Lilybug loves finding the smallest pumpkin in the patch. I decided to use some of my old Halloween kits for this. I did add a few new embellies.

Angeline Canvas - 11/9

So a few days ago I posted a page I did for LGS. I loved the page so much that I decided to turn it into an art canvas to hang in her room.

I took a black 12x12 art canvas and started creating a similar background to what I had before. I took my 12x12 Heidi Swapp hexagon mask and began tracing with my silver pen.

I then took some pink metallic paper and punched it with my Creative Memories hexagon punch. The 1 1/4" fit almost perfectly into the hexagons I drew.

Here is my finished product:
