Just Breathe - 3/28

We have manatee spotting all over down here. I have actually never seen one until we went down to South Florida. It was really neat to watch them coming up for air. They are bottom feeders so they look like shadows in the water until they come up for air. Then it's a small splash in the water. Here are a few pics Bev and I took while down at the jetties. Along with a sketch for the MSM Birthday Sketch-A-Thon.

It's Monday! - 3/25

So with today being a new week... Let's Get Sketchy has another awesome sketch up for you to use as inspiration!!! I haven't had the chance to play with this one yet since it's not my week to post on the DT. The simplicity of the sketch gives a lot of wiggle room for you to add your own personal touches to it! Friendly Pelican - 3/22

I am still playing along with the Birthday Sketch-A-Thon. Sketches are fun to help inspire you. Sometimes they help get the mojo moving and sometimes you end doing a page that doesn't look much like the sketch. I've been known to do that too. Well this one resembles the sketch a little. I added more to it since I'm not a fan of alot of "white" space on my pages.

This is an awesome sketch by my friend Lisa! Her twist was to use 2 tickets on anywhere on the page. Well this pelican didn't mind me getting up close to it. It was quite funny to be able to get up close to one and it not fly away.

I ran out of photo paper last night! Can't believe it!

Down by the Jetties - 3/19

I have enjoyed scrapping the pics from our trip to Florida. The girls had so much fun and I have a ton of photos to pick thru. With having so many pics to scrap, I started playing along with different sites to help me get thru them all. I found this site not long ago. It's great for inspiration and challenging yourself. I'm not a fan of doing 2 page layouts, but this one caught my eye. I figured I'd give it a shot to help get some pics down on a page. I struggled a few days with it. I finally made myself work 1 side at a time. After that it took no time at all to finish the page!

Relax'n - 3/18

Friday I finally got to go to a crop!!! I haven't been in months due to so much happening with holidays, school stuff, and life. I had so much fun seeing all my favorite ladies!! I especially love the food and the chatting. I don't have to crop alone. lol. I usually only get a page or 2 done during the crop, but hey it's all worth it! Creative Memories has some very cute stuff coming out this spring! I even got my hands on some really cute spring stickers.

Well 1 of the pages I got done was of course for my DT work at LGS!!! I really enjoyed playing with this week's sketch. I was able to add several of my own touches to it to make it my own. I struggled a little trying to find the right background paper and I'm definitely not a big fan of paisley.

Hands on - 3/11

Every year the Sea Lab puts on an all day event for children during the summer. It's a special program to help teach them about our local Gulf waters. They offer it several times during the summer cause it fills up quick. The girls have been going for years and love it! I think I learn something new every time I go. lol. They even get to go out into the water and try to find some of the wildlife they learned about.

These are from part of the day with Lilybug. She got to look at all the cool animals that live in our waters. I also used the Midweek Mojo over at ScrapbookSteals! I love shopping their deals as well! Great prices on just about anything scrappy!!!
